Heart pumping, legs shaking, 10 year old girls were waiting at the starting line for cross country. "Are you nervous?” I asked Ashleigh. ‘’No," she replied. “I am, I hate cross country!” I moaned.
Mr Burt hit the clappers together and we were off! Pushing and shoving the girls ran down the field. Jogging, I started to cough, so I walked. Going out of the gate there was a big puddle of water. It felt cold in between my toes. Miss Glaze said, "Keep on going, you have a long way to go. "
Half way through the field and I am jogging. Ms Squires is filming me and Jay'Lee, so I start to go faster. I come past Mrs Barks and she starts to sing "Don’t stop Believing". I am coming up to the finish line, sprinting. “ Finally it is over!” I go and wash my feet. I never want to do that again.
