Schools Out!

Its Thursday, the last day of school and we are getting ready to head off to assembly. We see lots of little kids with reindeer hats on and the teachers on the side of the hall as always, but the thing is its nearly 12:30. The assembly is the last one for the year. Mr Burt hands out all the left over certificates. "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!" Came a loud screech over the hall. I said goodbye to all my friends and walked home. I cant wait until next year and I cant wait until I see my friends again.

My Refection for 2010.

I have enjoyed going to year 5 and 6 camp because the activities we did were really fun like the activities that we got to go to other that the school grounds, rock climbing, roller skating, bowling and the close to school activities like kayaking, orientation and camp cooking.

I have enjoyed learning all about volcanoes from our topic Active Earth because I didn’t know that Auckland is right on top of a hot spot. We learnt about the different volcanoes and how they build up and erupt.
I would like to play more games and go outside and enjoy the fresh air also do more cooking because we need a brake from doing class work. My goal is to get better at maths.

For next year I want to put more posts on my blog. My best memories from this year would have to be the Yr 5 and 6 camp because we got to do different activities.

Western Springs.

" Are you coming to Western Spring park?" My Mum asked auntie Leonie. " Yep," she replied. We all got ready and I went with auntie Leonie. We got to Western Spring park and couldn't find mum or dad so we followed the footpath and finally we found the park and mum ad dad. We played then went to feed the ducks. Cree got angry and then SPLASH!!! Khaia started to scream because Cree had just pushed her into the water. With Khaia crying, we played for a little more and went home. I want to go back there.

The Simpson's

The Simpson's is one of my favourite cartoons. It is about a family of 5 that live in a little town called Springfield. They are Marge, Homer, Lisa, Bart and Maggie. I like it because Homer and Bart is funny because they do things to each other. Lisa is the smartest one out of all of them and is the brainiest in her school. Bart always is in detention because he does he does stuff to his principal. Marge is a stay home mum and looks after Maggie. Maggie seems like a normal baby but she isn't because she is one of those violent babies. She even has her own gun. I like to watch and hope you do to.

Pike River Mine Memorial Service.

We are watching the emotional world wide memorial service,at Omoto Race Corse, for the pike river men who died in the explosion that happened there. There is a lovely choir singing Amazing Grace for the devastated families that have lost their sons, Husbands, dads, brothers and nephews. I think that it is to dangerous to retrieve the bodies out of the mine, and the families are taking turns to talk about the people that they have lost. They are beautiful pieces of writing.

The 29 tables set across the front of the stage symbolize the people lost. The tables have what they liked and what they liked to do. These losses have an impact on NZ because we have lost a lot of men through out the past so this adds to it.

We have a great connection through trans Tasman. The Prime Minister of Australia helped us by sending things from her country to ours. Also the Chilean miners have been in touch as well as Prince Harry and Hillary Clinton. I am very sorry for the people that lost there loved ones in the mine.

REWIND!

We were inspired by the talented students of St Pius X School, who made this rewind movie for the Manaiakalani Film Festival. In extension we did our own little rewind movie of our own. When we did the movie, we realized that it must of took a long time and rehearsal to get it right, but our one took a little bit of time to do it. Their movie is 3 minutes long. Me, Litia, Vivenne and Makerita were in this movie with Mrs Tele'a as the teacher. Here is a link to St Pius X School to check out their movie.

Surf Life Saving.

“Rita, we have to go and change into our swimming togs,” I reminded her that we had Surf Life Saving. We finished putting our togs on, then went to sit on the boogie boards. The two instructors came and talked about the rules. After that we hopped into the pool. Alexandria’s teeth were chattering. The first activity that we did was we had to do was that we had to grab the boogie boards and the boys had to make waves while the girls swim under them. “ Look at how Charlies doing it, he is digging it into the water,” the swimming instructor informed. Waves got bigger and bigger and the pool looked like Piha Beach. We ran in a circle for 1 minute and floated, the water was moving me in a circle. This is called a RIP. We did a few dolphin dives and then we got out of the pool. What a fun lunch time I want to do it again.

Swimming

Excitedly,
I slipped into my life jacket. Eagerly waiting to get into the pool, I
waited for Jay’Lee to adjust my life jacket. Feeling cosy, Chris told us
to get into the water.

Chris is the swimming instructor from Water Safety NZ. Chris is here to teach us swimming techniques.

Slipping into the water, the water wasn't as cold as I expected it
would be, but other girls started to scream because they thought it was
cold. They were acting as if it was as freezing as it might be in
Antarctica. Bobbing around in the help position, we all got into a
huddle. “Now, what I want you to do is relax.” Chris told us in a calm
voice. The national anthem rose in the tent. Voices echoing, Chris
gently rotated us while we were singing out of tune. Thundering noises
is what best described the noise that RM 17 was hearing at that time.

You can have free time for 5 minutes.” Chris said. Next minute
everyone was screaming and squirming around. “ Do you want to play
tiggie?” Ashleigh asked. “ Yep, but your in.” I said back. We played for
a while and then got out of the pool.

What a wonderful tie we had in the pool I cant wait until next Friday.

Our Bike Ride Through GI

" DAD!! Wake Up, we have to go and pump our bike tyres," I exclaimed to my dad. Khaia and I had been waiting to pump our bike tyres up. We got ready and headed off. Khaia rode her bike dad and I walked. The Shell Petrol station was in sight. Khaia was already sprinting for the pump but I beat her to it. We pumped the tyres up and rode down to the Pt England dairy. "What Ice Cream do you want?" asked my dad. "I'll have a Magnum Gold!" I shouted. Dad bought the things that we needed and we headed home. What a FUN bike ride! I want to do that again.

Halloween Quiz Night

“Bring Bring” the phone rang. I picked it up and it was my nana. She said that we were going to her work for a Halloween Quiz Night. We got there and saw lots of people dressed up in costumes. There was a chicken, Elvis, a witch, 2 vampires and a skeleton. 3 main tables were set up and a kids table at the back. Kids were playing Monopoly. My nana introduced each other to one another. Shian, Hanna and Cezar. I chose the thumb tack and Khaia was the iron. “ How old old are you?” asked Shian. “ 10 and 7.” We played for a little while, had some lollies and coke. “ Do you know how to play Chicken?” asked Shian. “NO” “ You just try to run across the pit without getting hit by the person swinging.” Going out to the carpark, there was lollies at the entrance. I took some and played Chicken then ball tag. We went back into the retirement home to see what the adults were doing. I stuffed my pockets with lollies. It was time to go and the Elvis team won the Quiz.

I had lots of fun [ and lollies] that i can’t wait until the Christmas party.

Walking into immersion assembly, there were teachers dressed in ant costumes, bees, a mosquito , a moth and snails. We sat down in our lines and assembly had began.I saw on the screen that our topic was Little Critters. Mr Burt the Nasty Mosquito and Mega Moth (Mr.Jacobson) chased each other around the hall. Nasty Mosquito was longing for Mega Moth’s blood, but he was to fast for him.

Mr Burt had ran out of breathe so he said “ Give it up for team 1!” Mrs George was at the front of the spider line, she was wearing a spider man mask. The music started, ‘’ Incy wincy spider climbed up the water spout...’’ Mrs Wild was squirting water at the spider and then the children. The little kids started to scream. Team 2 made a movie about the life cycle of a caterpillar.

Team 3’s item was NZ Next Top Little Critter. Mrs Barks Had a black t-shirt with red dots on it. Mrs Mackinlay had yellow and black wings with a wand. Mrs Maude had Yellow- brown wings on. Mrs Lavakula had a sparkly wig on and had red and black dots on it. “ There are many types of coloured lady bugs, red with black spots, black with red spots, yellow, orange blue eg.” “ I am the prettiest one of all!” Mrs Barks exclaimed.

My favourite was Team 4’s item. Mr Barks was the queen bee and Ms Squires, Miss Garden, Miss Va’afusuaga and Miss King. Mr Bark sat up on the table and it looked like something up his skirt. Flicking his long, golden hair, Mr Barks sat there talking while Ms Squires feed him honey jelly. “ Oh wait for it...” then out came a baby teddy came popped out. One more came out and then twins. Miss Va’afusuaga and Miss King was dancing and Miss Garden was sweeping.
Little Critters is going to be a creepy but exciting topic this term.

GLEE ON THE SIMPSONS!

I was reading a magazine and there was an article that said Lea Michelle, Cory Monteith and Amber Riley are going to star on the Simpson's. The episode is called Elementary School Musical. This is the first episode of the next season. Lisa Simpson joins them at a performing arts camp for a good old sing-a-long. Here is a link to go and watch a premier of it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYchr_deIUA&feature=related

The Canterbury Earthquake

On Saturday at 4:00am an earthquake hit Christchurch. Unexpectedly the earthquake measured 7.1 on the Richter scale and was the same measurement of the earthquake in Haiti. Luckily only a few people got hurt, sadly 1 died from heart attack.

The extensive damage made houses collapse and buildings got split in two. At least 100,000 homes were damaged and about 450 need to be demolished. The roads buckled and buildings crumbled.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is my favourite celebrity. Her first appearance on TV was on Barney and Friends. Her best friend is Demi Lavato who also stared in Barney and Friends. They have done a movie together called Princess Protection Program. They both have their own program on YouTube and she is also on a show called Wizards of Waverly Place. I hope you like my paragraph.

Cross Country

Heart pumping, legs shaking, 10 year old girls were waiting at the starting line for cross country. "Are you nervous?” I asked Ashleigh. ‘’No," she replied. “I am, I hate cross country!” I moaned.

Mr Burt hit the clappers together and we were off! Pushing and shoving the girls ran down the field. Jogging, I started to cough, so I walked. Going out of the gate there was a big puddle of water. It felt cold in between my toes. Miss Glaze said, "Keep on going, you have a long way to go. "

Half way through the field and I am jogging. Ms Squires is filming me and Jay'Lee, so I start to go faster. I come past Mrs Barks and she starts to sing "Don’t stop Believing". I am coming up to the finish line, sprinting. “ Finally it is over!” I go and wash my feet. I never want to do that again.

Black Beard.

Black Beard began his pirating career in 1716, at the age of about 36. He was a ruthless man and terrorised the Caribbean seas striking terror in the hearts of the American colonies.

His menacing appearance had many people scared of him. His towering figure even made other pirates scared. He wore a crimson coat and his thick shaggy beard was braided to make him look even tougher. Armed with lots of pistols and knives, he looked like a crazy man. The fuses on his head made it look like smoke was coming out of his head. He really was frightening.

Rainbows End!!

"Shoal, wake up we are going to Rainbows End today!" Said my mum. It was 8:00 in the morning and I had just got up. Down stairs my Dad was having breakfast.
I had put bread in the toaster had made a Milo. Up stairs I got changed and excitedly waited for my Aunties to go and pick up Cree. Khaia’s friend Ava was coming too. We had to pick her up at Sylvia Park.
A few minutes later my Mum went into Pak ‘n’ Save to get some things for lunch. Into the boot goes the shopping and we are off. Rainbows End was coming up and it was an exciting feeling because there was a new ride, THE INVADER!!!

My Dad paid for us and our first taste of Rainbows End was the Pirate Ship! It swung back and forth giving me a funny feeling in my stomach. On the swing down could feel my insides going one way and my body going the opposite way down towards the ground. After going on it twice, the thrill of the ride had worn off. Walking out of the entrance to the pirate ship, we saw my Dad and Khaia at the top of the Fear Fall, they were about to come down. I wondered if Khaia was scared of how high up she was. We left and all you could hear was Khaia screaming her head off.

My aunties and I headed off to the Log Flume, we passed the tempting candyfloss shop on the way. Hopping into the log boat I felt wobbly because it kept rocking side to side. The best part of that ride was going into the entrance of the cave which is covered by a small waterfall. I thought we were going to get wet from the waterfall but it suddenly stopped just as we came into the cave. I didn’t manage to stay dry, there was a little bump which made the boat hit the water, hard. And I got wet.

When I heard about the INVADER ride, my first reaction was I wonder if it’s similar to the Fearfall. It turned out that the Invader gives you the same queasy feeling as the Fearfall. It feels like your falling in mid air. My cousin and I thought it was so great that we went on it four
times.

“Lets go on the Roller coaster! It looks like lots of fun!” I exclaimed.
“Come on then, lets see if it is as good it looks.” my Aunty replied.
Pulling down my neck brace, I sat in my seat next to my Aunty Jackie. Her face looked worried. I think she was nervous. The roller coaster felt like you were being pushed and shoved by a huge crowd of people. By the end of the ride my head was not very sore so we went on it seven
more times!

Soon enough, after many more rides it was time to go. We packed up our things and headed off home after a long day of playing and having fun. I can’t wait until next year when we will hopefully go back!

Immersion Assembly.

I walked into the hall for Immersion Assembly, thinking "What is our topic for this term is?" We sat down behind RM 14. The hall was buzzing with chatter."Te Na Kotou Tamariki Ma" shouted Mr Burt. Assembly had just begun. Mr Burt showed us what our topic was. "Mighty Mariners" Shouted the school. He showed us where he had travelled in the holidays. "I went from Auckland to America" then a map came up on the screen with a yellow line showing the destination.
" Give it up for Team 1!" They did an animation of the seven waka's. My favourite was team 3 because they threw out chocolate coins and shot confetti out in the air using guns. What a fun Immersion Assembly, i am waiting for what next term is holding

GLEE

Glee is my favourite TV show in the WORLD! It is about a teenagers life in High School when they join Glee Club. Their names are Rachel, Finn, Mercedes, Artie, Quin, Jessie, Puck, Quirt, Mr Shoester and Coach Sylvester. They get teased and they even get drinks splashed in their faces! It happens because people think they are nerds. Do you know what a Glee Club is? Well it a group where you express your feelings through songs. If you want to watch it, it is on TV 3 at 8:30 or on Wednesday at 7:30 on C4. My favourite song that they have sang is Gives you Hell. Please watch it as it is very funny.

Circus Quirkus!!

Circus Quirkus!"Get changed"said Mum,"We're going to the circus. It's at the ASB stadium in Selwyn College."
We got there and there were a lot of people waiting, it was packed. In the queue I saw Rita and Chante, they were with their families. It was so cold waiting in line for the doors to open.
All of a sudden Harold the Giraffe appeared and he started giving out stickers and taking photos with people. The line started to move. The other two doors started to open and two different lines were formed. A lady at the entrance ripped our tickets.

Mum led us to the stage and told us to sit. Rita walked past and sat at the front. My dad said "Let's go sit at the top seats." "Sure!" Mum said. We made our way up the stairway and sat on the end chairs, the numbers were 16,17,18,19.
A man name Christophe came out and started to blow balloons and give them to people but they POPPED!! It was a very funny joke.

The lights dimmed and a voice started speaking "Hello, Welcome to Circus Quirkus! "Hhhhh hhh"cried my baby sister because she was scared. So my dad had to go to the back to calm my baby sister down.

All the circus people came out but instead of walking on to the stage they did cartwheels, flips and tumbles. "Cool!" I said to my mum with excitement. Music started to play and they did a little piece to show what was going to happen in the show. There were 3 men that were dressed up in African suits. Another man was dressed all in orange. Two ladyies were dressed all in blue. A man came out and started to bounce balls on a metal platform.

The next act was the lady that did gymnastics. It was my least favourite because it was boring. But the next act was very exciting because it was the men in African suits. They were jumping all over the place and flipping. Every body started to clap and cheer "Whhhhhhhoooo." "That was cool!" I said to my Mum, with a smile that spread right across my face.

A man came out and started pulling tiny bouncy balls out of his mouth. "Uwwwwwww" said my baby sister. A giant ring came on stage and the man hopped in it and started rolling across the stage. That was my favourite act. Christophe came out and asked for a volunteer. He picked Rita. She had to balance a balloon on her nose. She was sooo funny. My mum yelled "Go Rita!" she did so well.

After Rita's act was a 15min interval. In that time Khaia and I went down to join Chante and Rita. Interval finished and the men in the African suits came on stage and brought a table with them, along with 10 chairs. Unfortunately I did not watch it because we needed to go to the toilet. We came back and it was end of the show.

That was really cool thoroughly enjoyed that day. Thanks mum and dad for taking us to Circus Quirkus.

BIGFOOT BIKES!!!!!!

"Yeah"Rm15 yelled when Ms Squires said that it was our turn to go on the bikes.

The bikes were from Big foot Adventures. Two people came.Their names were Adrien and Tony. They were here to tell us about bike safety .

While Tony was telling us about safety precautions,we listened attentively to get the right safety equipment. The correct safety equipment includes Helmets,Bright Visible Clothes and good Foot Wear. We carefully adjusted our helmets so it was tight and snug.

On the Obstacle course I cautiously went up the ramps and around the cones ,wobbling and wibbling .I careered down the track, apprehensively manoeuvring. In the end I boldly went down the last ramp,"Yeah!"I said because it was over.

Before long we switched over to the hard courts to learn hand signals. Adriene asked us what the hand signal was for Stop. We did not know so she showed us. The track we had to go down was a cor

Before long we switched over to the hard courts to learn hand signals.Adrien asked us what the hand signal is for Stop. No one knew so she showed us. The track we had to go down was a course to practice our hand signals. Chante was up first, she turned left but never did the indication. "My turn" i said.I turned right and did the indication. I carefully manoeuvred down the track, happy.

I am great full that Big Foot Bikes came because their bikes and lessons were fun .I cant wait until it happens again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CREE!! XOXO

Today my baby sister Cree turns 2 years old!! Happy Birthday Cree Cree love you so much from your big sister Shoal.

Her day was full of fun. Mum took her up to the library to read some books. My mum said she went into this shop up in Glen Innes and Cree saw a doll she wanted and a toy car. So mum bought them for her. They both went to McDonald's for lunch where Cree got a happy meal. Mum took her to the 2dollar shop and got her some colouring pencils and a colouring book. My dad came home with a cake, it was a chocolate sponge cake from The Cheese Cake Factory. Dinner just finished cooking. I set the table and put the heart plate in front of her. She said "Ohhh Pretty!" we all laughed . Dad put the cake on the table and we sang"Happy Birthday To You!!!" but she just sat there and looked at us. We lit up the candles and she started to cry because she was scared. So Dad,me and Khaia had to blow them out. They were cool candles because when you blow them out they light back up by it's self but this time they would spark, like a sparkler. We got straight into dinner after I said the prayer. We had Meat Balls and Potato Bake. Cree was only interested in the cake and licked the icing on top of the cake. I had heaps of Meat Balls. So I didn't have any cake because I ate to much. I had just a little bit of ice cream. "Bed time"my mum said after I packed the table. The next day my Aunty and Uncle came with my cousin. They brought her a present. They were Adidas shoes. On Sunday she is going to go shopping and buy her a new wardrobe full of clothes! Lucky Cree.

We had a wonderful day. I hope Cree had a fun day, too.

MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dad gave her the breakfast that he had made,it was his specialty eggs bacon his famous Hash brown and mushrooms. While she was eating I rang up my two Nana's to wish them and my aunties a Happy Mothers Day.
After that I cooked some Bacon for my breakfast. I also cooked eggs.It was yummmmy!!!!!!!! I cleared the table and had a little rest. We got up and took our blankets and mattress's back upstairs (we had movie night downstairs where we watched Iron Man until I fell asleep). Mum had a shower, as well as us. She had 3 choices movies, shopping or dinner at restaurant of her choice. She chose shopping and we headed to Dress Smart to see if we could find something that she liked. Me,Khaia and Mum went in and looked in every shop and there was nothing that she liked. So we headed to Albany Mall where the Sky City Cinemas were. My Dad bought the tickets to BOY "Yessssss"I said. We had to wait 2 hours because it Starts at 6:55. In the mean time we had lunch and took a little walk around a pond area outside Albany mall. Then we looked in the shops but there was nothing that she liked so we went back to the car and drove the car to the under ground parking. We stayed there and waited. At 6:44pm we went into the theatre. We sat down on the seats at the back row I numbers 2 3 4 5 and 6. The movie started and my baby sister started to cry so her and Dad went to get some lollies. They came back and she settled down eating her treats. The movie took 2 and a half hours.
My favourite part was when Boys auntie said get a job and he replied you took them all.
we went to the car and drove back home.

I had a wonderful day and I think Mum did too.

Brownies!!!!!!

"When are we going to make the brownies?"I asked my Auntie. "Soon" she replied.
It was a cold and windy day and we were going to make brownies just for fun. Soon came and we started. First I measured and put 1 and a 1/2 cups of sugar in a bowl while my auntie cut up the chocolate.Next one cup of cocoa into the bowl and stir, then added the melted butter. I stirred it all together. Now we added 3 eggs, one at a time. Then stirred it together, until it got too hard so i had to give it to my auntie to do. Once it looked like paste,we added 1/2 a cup of flour. It looked like the North Pole. My auntie stirred and I added the chocolate. She told me to hold the sides to make the middle curve and it worked. It went in slowly."Time to grease the bottom and sides with butter"said my auntie. We used the paper that held the butter we used earlier. I scooped it into the tray, evened it out and put it into the oven.Me and my sister licked the spoons that we used.It tasted yummy!!!!It was finished and it was cooling on the windowsill with a tea towel over it.She cut them into 20 pieces and put them in 2 small containers. After dinner we ate them with ice cream."Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!"everyone yelled.
it was a fun day cant wait until we do it again.

THE CINDERELLA SHOW...

CINDERELLA

I couldn't believe my dad when he asked me and my cousin Yulyvere if we wanted to go to a play called Cinderella. Instantly said 'yessss!' because my cousin and i wanted to get out of the house, it was so boring with the boys playing the PlayStation. My cousin got her clothes and we left.

On Saturday I woke up at half past 8 in the morning. I went downstairs to have breakfast but my mum said there's not enough time to. We had just enough time to get breakfast at M'cDonald's. We all had the same thing, sausage mcmuffin, hash brown and a hot chocolate.
"Mmmmm"is what we all said when we drank our hot chocolates.

We arrived to the street that the Logan Campbell Theater was on, A TRAFFIC JAM!!!!!!!!!''Oh no''yelled my dad,it was bad. Until we moved up to the entrance. It was packed, the only parking was where the race course was SO we parked there. It wasn't such a bad walk. We walked up to the the top block of the Logan Campbell Theatre. We sat in aisle 7,seats 112,113,114,115 and 116.

The lights dimmed and my baby sister Cree started to cry so my mum took her out for some treats to calm her down, it didn't work she still cried so mum ended up outside with her most of the time.

The first part was about how cruel the step mother was treating Cinderella, including her step sisters. The step sisters were men with beards dressed as the wicked step sisters, they were really funny. The next part is when the Fairy Godmother comes and sees Cinderella. She told her that she could go to the ball. She waved her magic wand, putting a beautiful blue dress on Cinderella, then she asked Cinderella to get 6 blind mice, a pumpkin and a lizard. She waved her magic wand and changed the 6 blind mice into 6 white horses, well they weren't real horses just horses made out of cardboard. She changed the pumpkin into a carriage and turned the lizard into a man to drive the carriage. The fairy God Mother told Cinderella to come back by midnight or else she will turn back into her normal self. Including the horses, carriage and man. This is when the show took a 20minute break. So my sisters, my cousin and i, shared a pack of lollies, chocolate and chips and walked around till the show started up again.

The second part was when she goes to the ball, has her dance with the Prince, loses her slipper and when the Prince asked her and her sisters to try on the slipper. Cinderella was the one who fit it! her stepsisters were very upset. Cinderella married the Prince and her bridesmaids were her stepsisters.

When the show was finally over,we came home. My mum decided that she was going to make BIG MAC burgers, YES BIG MAC BURGERS! So she did and we headed off to Cornwall Park. We found a good spot under a towering tree. Mum laid the mat out on the grass and dad put the food on it. I said the prayer and we dug in. I had 1 burger but my dad had 2, and it really tasted like a BIG MAC! My mum is a genius. My cousin and I jumped on our scooters. We went to the tunnel, road down the stairs and onto the foot path. We did that for a little while, then it packed up full of people so we left.

My sisters wanted to go to another park, mum and dad said at the same time''O.K''. This park was called Little Rangitoto park. We arrived there and there was heaps of kids on the flying fox. A lot more kids on the playground. I sprinted to the flying fox and stayed there until we left. The end of the day neared and I was getting tiered. It was time to leave.
I loved that awesome day I cant wait till next time.
Ambury Farm

''What are we doing today mum?"I said.''We are going to Ambury Farm, the place where Khaia went to on her school trip '' she replied.
"We are going to show some animals to Cree". I was excited for myself and my baby sister.

It was a beautiful Saturday so we were all excited to go see some farm animals. We had our breakfast and headed out around lunchtime.

When we got there, there were a few people having birthday parties and barbeque's. Cree was excited and couldn't wait to get out of the car.

First animal we saw were rabbits, they had a hot cross bun in their water bowl. I think because it was Easter weekend and the rabbits wanted to celebrate with a hot cross bun. Cree wanted to climb on the rabbits house, mum said no because that's where the rabbits sleep and we don't want them broken.

Next up we walked through where the cows go for milking but there were no milking this season so the cows were back in the paddock. We came across Charlotte the pig and her piglets. They were walking around the trees. Then Charlotte walked up to us. She was so big. There was a piece of paper stuck to the gate. It said''Please do not feed animals or they will get too fat.''

We went to the two goats named Skippy but I cant remember the other ones name. My mum told us not to pat them on the head only their backs because they had sharp horns. Cree was too busy hanging on the gate. There was another goat called Slippy. He was just sitting on the grass minding his own business. He was boring so we moved on to Timmy the Turkey. It said that if his head is red he's scared and if his head is blue he is fine. Cree moved on because she was scared. She went to Bella the horse. There was a big ramp to reach her. She came to me and i patted her on her mane. Time to go to the chickens. I opened the gate and went to the first chicken coop. It had 3 chicks and their mother in there. I saw two eggs in the chicken coop. "Time to leave" dad said.

We went to Henderson Shopping Mall for lunch. My sisters and I had Mcdonalds and mum and dad had butter chicken. We walked around the shopping mall till it was time to leave.

Dad drove us to my nana's in Grey lynn for a visit. We stayed for awhile and had dinner then we came home. What a great day that was. I hope my little sister had fun.

The Bowling Pin.

The Pin.

''Oh no I am going to get hit by a heavy bowling ball!!!My life is ruined.''I said to myself. I can see a stranger picking up the big fat bowling ball, carrying it to the game area, because he is switching it for another one. The other pins are excited to be knocked down especially if they are next to the gutter .''I HATE IT. This is the WORST JOB EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!''I yelled.

The man raised his right arm and threw the ball at me and he got a strike, all ten pins down,INCLUDING ME!!!!!
''My head hurts so badly.'' I cried.

The sweeper sweeps me up and puts my sisters in. They start screaming with excitement.

Capture the Flag

On Friday afternoon we went to play a game with Room 14. It was called Capture the Flag.
First Miss King precisely explained the rules so we listened attentively. We got into two lines and went down to the bottom field and Miss King set out the cones and divided us into teams and got straight into it. We were red, they were green.
Everybody from the other team started sprinting for the flag, we did as well.
People started tagging other people.
Some of the people on the other from the other team tried to get the flag but they couldn't get through.
I tried getting to my safe zone but it was an unsuccessful attempt. I went back to the to the other teams safe zone and tried guarding.
So far the score was 4 -0. 1 more point and we win because this was the last round.

In the end we won 5-0.
We were all exhausted and sweaty.
Capture the Flag is an exciting game, I hope we play again.
